About the Role

You will be coding various game mechanics and you will be taking initiative where needed. You will be reading a lot of documents and diagrams and creating yours. You will be following task and creating your own. You will contribute to the code architecture together with network programmer and a game designer. You will be collaborating with technical 3D artist and with Game Designer and Game Producer the most. You will be called for team meetings usually initiated by game producer and you will be calling for team meetings by yourself. It is not excluded that you will find yourself recording your progress and making a video-brief that can be used in various purposes, mainly because we want to be transparent with our clients, be ready to be known and recognized by many. The moment you start working with us, you are representing our company values, you are working strictly under DGV branding about which you will be briefed.

If you get a chance of leading the code department you are supposed to Lead by example. We are not much into making demo or a prototype, we are going all in from the start, and for that reason all the prototyping and documentations that needs to be done must be done inside of the first month which is dedicated exactly for this purpose. You can find yourself writing a general modular game mechanics class that has many usages down to dedicated classes for dedicated individual asset mechanics inside of Unity physics, inside of physics you created or simply making any other game mechanics set of rules.

Thanks to our approach, coding the metaverse is just like coding a video game, nothing that you don't know doing already. This is a massive project and GDD is made so it gives you an clear view at the project at any moment and it simplifies and suggests even the coding approaches for various subjects on which you have a final decision. The way we work in DGV is that every single day something is pushing forward and something is done on the end of the each shift and we work very organized. You may find yourself working with and helping the polishing of graphical and physics API's of big hardware manufacturers aka: AMD, Nvidia, inside next years and working closely with their teams if needed. You will be scripting realistic detailed futuristic city life with as many options as possible for the Player.

You will be briefed about the project in detail, work environment, your future position in the company and possibilities after the first initial meeting.

Requirements

  • Previous and wide experience on coding 3D game mechanics inside the Unity development platform.

  • Knowledge of working inside the team environment. Team Player.

  • Capable of multithreading.

  • Capable of structuring the code to fit burst compiler and Unity multithreading.

  • Capable of writting multithreaded code.

  • Portfolio must reflect our requirements.

  • Communication is essential.

  • Experience with IK systems and coding humanoid characters all arround.

  • Must be passionate about the tasks and the project(once you know it).

  • Must be able to take constructive feedback. Be resorsfull, polite and on time.

  • You are passionate, and hungry for some glory. You want to be heard of.

  • Capable writting custom physics.
